Public Assistance (PA)
The Public Assistance (PA) programs include: Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), Family and Children (FC-MA) and Adult Medicaid (MA), Work First Employment (WF), Emergency Assistance (EA) and General Assistance (GA), Child Day Care (DC) and Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation (NEMT).

Social Work Programs
Social Work Programs are separated into two divisions: Adult and Child Welfare Services.  Adult Services Adult Guardianship, Protective Payee, Personal Care Services, and Case Management.   Child Welfare Services programs include Child Protective Services (CPS), Foster Care, and Adoptions.

Child Support Services
Available services to assist in collecting child support through a network of state and locally run offices.

Food and Nutrition Services (Formerly Food Stamps)
Food assistance programs for low-income families. Benefits are issued via Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card.

Work First Family Assistance
Helps parents support themselves and their families by offering short-term training and other services to increase chances of employment.

Energy Assistance
Programs to assist with heating and or cooling costs.

Refugee Services
Short-term transitional assistance to help refugees become self-sufficient.


Emergency Assistance
Short term financial assistance for families in crisis.

Low Income Energy Assistance
The Low Income Energy Assistance Program is a Federally funded program that provides a one time vendor payment to help eligible households pay their heating bills.

Crisis Intervention Program
The Crisis Intervention Program assists individuals and families who are experiencing a heating or cooling related crisis.
